Air Fryer Chicken Cordon Bleu is a delicious and healthy twist on the classic French dish. Here is a simple recipe that you can follow to make this dish at home:
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 slices of ham
- 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp of dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp of onion powder
- 1/4 tsp of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Lay the chicken breasts flat on a cutting board and use a meat mallet to pound them to an even thickness.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham on top of each chicken breast.
- Roll the chicken breasts tightly around the cheese and ham, securing with toothpicks.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between them.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the toothpicks and serve immediately.
