Ingredients:
- 4 split chicken breasts, bone-in and skin-on
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Rinse the chicken breasts under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and rub it in, making sure to coat both sides of each breast.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure to coat both sides.
- Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet, skin-side up, and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
