Difference between Torque and Moment
The terms torque and moment have different meanings and both are distinct from each other. It can be seen that the torque has a shape and is multiplied by the distance.
The moment represents the force multiplied by the total distance of the body. It appears that time is reversed by rotational forces. The main difference between these two concepts is that torque is a measure of rotational force and moment is a measure of vertical distance.
What Is Torque?
Torque is a measure of the force that causes an object to rotate around an axis. Similar to how a force accelerates an object in a linear configuration, torque gives an angular acceleration to an object.
Torque is nothing but a measurement of the force of an object. This force in this region helps to deform the object. The rotation of an object appears to affect its axis. This can be marked as a pivot point (O). Here the force is called (F) and r is called the moment arm.
Definition
The moment signature basically refers to the difference from the pivot point to the point where the force acts. Here the torque can be expressed schematically and is [Γ=r×F=rFsin(Θ)] The formula also implies that torque is the cross product of the distance vector and the force vector. The key thing here is the angular acceleration caused by the torque. On the other hand, the torque can be said to be the rotational equivalent of the linear force.
What Is Moment?
In physics, the moment of force is a measure of the tendency of a body to rotate around a specific point or axis.
In physics, a moment is basically called a moment of force. It measures its character and made the body move around a certain point or axis. Here the moment of the force can be said as the product of the rotation f the force. proportional to the magnitude of the force and located on the vertical distance
A static torque can be defined as one that cannot produce angular acceleration in real time. When a person pulls on a closed door, the static torque applied to him by the door does not move despite the force on its feathers as, when a person rides the bicycle at a constant speed, static torque is generally applied here because they do not. move to accelerate in real time.
Dynamic torque, on the other hand, is a type of torque that can produce angular acceleration with real-time operation.
When a person drives a racing car, therefore it begins to take a stronger torque depending on the acceleration at that time in which case the wheels of the given car are seen to produce speed together with the track it drives.
Mainly three types of the moment can see in physics
They are the polar moment of inertia, are moment of inertia, and mass moment of inertia.

It is the measurement of the turning force on an object. | It is the measurement of the perpendicular distance from the point of rotation to the force’s line of action. |
The symbol of torque is τ and SI unit is newton-metre(N-m). | The symbol of the moment is M and SI unit if newton-metre (N-m). |
It is dynamic in nature. | It is static in nature. |
It is used where there is an availability of a pivot and rotation. | It is produced by any lateral force and used in non-rotational events. |
Torque produces angular acceleration. | Moment does not produce angular acceleration. |
