Fish in Foil Recipe

Baked fish en papillote is a “no smell” fish recipe and the only one I make for my family (I hate fish, they love it!). Bring the foil packets to the serving table and keep them around to wrap and discard the bones and skin. When dinner is done, take these babies to the trash can outside.

Fish in foil is a simple and delicious way to cook fish. It involves wrapping fish in foil along with some herbs, spices, and other flavorings, then baking it in the oven. The foil helps to keep the fish moist and infuses it with the flavors of the seasonings and spices.

To make fish in foil, start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Then, place a sheet of aluminum foil on a baking sheet and lightly coat it with cooking spray.

Next, choose your fish. Any type of fish will work, but some good options include salmon, cod, halibut, and tilapia.

Place the fish on the center of the foil, then season it with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices or herbs. You can also add some chopped vegetables, such as bell peppers or onions, to the foil for extra flavor and nutrition.

Once the fish is seasoned, wrap the foil around it, making sure it is tightly sealed. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

When the fish is done, carefully open the foil packet and transfer the fish to a plate. You can serve it with the vegetables from the packet, or with a side of your choice, such as rice or a salad. Enjoy!
