Fried Bass Recipe
I did it while camping. There was a break in the camp, when no one was there, I collected worms from the trading post and went fishing in the lake. I caught 12 bass with the help of my father, who got into it after playing guitar at the trading post. It was 7:00. m.
when I brought them all back to camp and thought I’d eat them since everyone had already eaten while I was gone. So I fried them in leftover shredded potato chips from lunch. Yum, yum, yum.
Sure! Here’s a simple recipe for fried bass:
- 2-3 bass fillets, skin removed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate shallow dish, pour in the buttermilk.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dip each bass fillet in the buttermilk, then coat it in the flour mixture.
- Carefully place the coated fillet in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried bass from the skillet with a slotted spoon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
Note: You can adjust the seasoning to your liking. Also, if you don’t have buttermilk, you can use regular milk or even beaten eggs as a substitute.
