What is Hypothalamus?
The hypothalamus is a minute, almond-shaped organ in the middle of the human brain, near the pituitary gland.
- It has three main parts:
- The previous section.
- State of Madhya Pradesh.
- The back section.
It plays an important role in nerve production. Keeping the hypothalamus healthy is very important. Its poor performance presents several problems.
Structure of Hypothalamus
The structure of hypothalamus is made up of three main regions:
- Anterior region
- Middle region
- Posterior region
Functions of Hypothalamus
The hypothalamus contains osmotic sensors that respond to concentrations of sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide and chloride. When pressure is too low, these osmotic sensors and baroreceptors activate the kidneys to store or release water to maintain the volume of these substances.
