Sauteed Shrimp with Spinach
Salted shrimp fried with granulated garlic and black pepper powder and fresh baby spinach.
Here’s a recipe for sauteed shrimp with spinach that serves 4 people:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 6 cups baby spinach leaves
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and swirl to coat the pan.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Add the chicken or vegetable broth to the pan and stir to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add the spinach leaves to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes, until wilted.
- Return the shrimp to the pan and toss with the spinach and broth. Cook for another minute or two, until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Serve the sauteed shrimp and spinach with lemon wedges on the side.
