The body withdraws water from the cells and transfers it to the blood when sodium accumulates in large quantities in the blood.

This is in order to dissolve the sodium present in the blood to reduce its concentration, which leads to an increase in blood volume, and thus increased pressure on the blood vessels, which requires greater pumping of blood from the heart, which means an increase in the effort imposed on the heart, which over time causes some diseases.
