Tuna Steaks with Garlic-Herb Cream Sauce
Tuna steaks are dressed in a dreamy creamy garlic and herb sauce. I served mine on wilted spinach.
Ingredients:
- 4 tuna steaks, about 6 oz. each
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brush the tuna steaks with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place the tuna steaks in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
- Add the heavy cream to the skillet and stir well to combine with the garlic-butter mixture. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, or until it has thickened slightly.
- Stir in the chopped thyme and parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spoon the garlic-herb cream sauce over the tuna steaks and serve immediately.
Enjoy your delicious tuna steaks with garlic-herb cream sauce!
