However, some foods contain more vitamins and minerals than others, and vitamins and minerals have many benefits, the most important of which is maintaining the human body’s proper and balanced functioning rate.

Vitamins are divided into two different categories, fat-soluble vitamins and water-soluble vitamins. The fat-soluble vitamins are: A, D, E, and K.

The Difference Between Vitamins

Vitamins are divided into two types:

Water-soluble vitamins: This type of vitamin is dissolved in water before being absorbed by the human body, and is absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

Because the nature of the human body is composed of water, these vitamins are distributed throughout the human body, and the kidneys By regulating the level of water-soluble vitamins in the human body, and excreting the excess through urine.

Although water-soluble vitamins have many tasks in the human body, the most important task is to release energy contained in food.

Fat-soluble vitamins: Unlike water-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins enter the bloodstream through lymphatic channels located on the intestinal wall.

This type of vitamin is found in fatty foods and oils, and the fatty tissues in the human body and liver work to regulate and retain these vitamins and release them according to the body’s need for them.

Here are some important vitamins and minerals for the human body:

  • Vitamin E (VITAMIN A).
  • B vitamins. Vitamin C (VITAMIN C).
  • Calcium (CALCIUM).
  • Iron (IRON).
  • Zinc (ZINC).
