Work allows an individual to act, grow, propose initiatives, develop, and improve skills. For the economy, work is an economic activity measured as the effort made by human beings. In sociology, it is the execution of tasks that involve physical and mental effort in order to produce goods and services to meet human needs.
A job is an occupational role or work performed based on a formal or de facto individual or collective contract for which a salary or remuneration is received.
The person who is hired is called the employee and the person who hires, the employer. The term employment is the antonym of unemployment and defines all that work that generates a monetary income or income, for this reason, self-employment is also considered as employment.
There is formal employment which is formalized by the completion of a contract between employee and employer adjusted to requirements of the law. Informal employment is established in an economic sector that is outside of tax control.
