Symptoms of Thyroid

Before we go any further with these symptoms, let’s find out exactly what a thyroid gland is. Adam has a large, ductless, butterfly-shaped gland located in the front of the neck just below the apple. The gland produces hormones responsible for regulating temperature, heart rate and metabolism.

Symptoms of Thyroid

Thyroid disorders are very common and can cause severe debilitating symptoms. Excessive or insufficient secretion of hormone from the thyroid gland can be a symptom of thyroid disease. The disease also causes inflammation of the gallbladder, which causes discomfort and difficulty swallowing.

Types of Thyroid

  1. Hyperthyroidism
  2. Hypothyroidism

A disorder in which the adrenal gland overproduces and produces too much thyroid hormone.

Where the thyroid gland is inactive or inactive, not producing enough hormones.

Most thyroid disorders show a variety of symptoms, so it’s important to note that none of these symptoms are specific to thyroid disease and can be caused by any underlying disease.
