Difference between Earthing and Grounding
The main difference between grounding and grounding is that the term “grounding” means that the circuit is physically connected to ground, which is a zero volt potential to ground (ground) while in “earthing” the circuit is not physically connected to ground, however its potential is zero in other places.

Grounding can be defined as a method of protection against unreasonable charges and lightning strikes that can cause damage to life and property so these important differences between the two must be kept in mind. It is important to understand that both refer to the same process.
What is Grounding?
Grounding is similar to grounding, providing a shield against accidental electrical surges. The main live wire is connected to the power supply to operate the machine.
However, the other part of the cable is carried underground. This happens if the circuit is accidentally disconnected to prevent overload and other dangerous problems.
